Sorry to throw a spanner in the works. But let's just say we get Costa on loan here till January, before he signs for A.Madrid. He hasn't done a pre-season, even if he has had a personal trainer in Brazil. It's unlikely he'll be totally match fit till the end of September. More worryingly, does anyone think he'll genuinely put in a shift for us knowing he'll be leaving in January anyway. Effectively we would be paying his wages, to get him match fit for atletico in January.

I don't think he wants to play for anyone 'till Jan.
