..the report I read said Everton and Southampton were interested earlier in the year but the youngster opted to sign a professional contract with Brugge.

With regards to Sandro, he is a centre forward and was signed as such, it isn't a question of him being 'versatile' and playing CF at a push, it's his job description hence giving him the sacred no.9 shirt. We are undoubtedly after another forward, and he may be a big lump CF , but he will be to complement or provide an alternative to Sandro.

What's wrong with simultaneously bolstering the U23's? We can go for both sets of players as we have done all summer.

Because the under 23's already have plenty of players full of potential. It's getting to the point where there won't be enough opportunities for them to play. We need quality over quantity.

There are still some definite holes to fill in the youth sides if you watch them.

Honestly, he concerns me. Good link up play, skills are good, tricky with the ball, but is he a clinical finisher? Is he strong and tough enough to score with his head in the EPL? Is he lady enough to get behind a high line? Italy is a good league, but England is way more physical. It would be an adjustment for sure.

it does makes sense in a lot of ways. If we could sign Siggy, there would be some similarities to the way Fiorentina play with the bunch of outstanding center miss they have there.

Not sure he's a better alternative than some of the others floated around. HOWEVRR, if spending 25M on him allows us to get a legit ball playing CB as an alternative to Williams (like Lemos), maybe it's worth it.
