no idea, i provided stats about a months ago to point to the fact it's been more of a top 7 over the last decade than it is a top 6. I think only 2 or 3 max seasons out of that 10 that the current "top 6" have actually finished as the top 6.

They were showing the top 7 on MOTD yesterday as we were above Arsenal and Utd. I suspect they'd only show the top 6 had we been in 7th.

Quoted in The People today as telling Baggies fans that 8th is a good as it gets for them as the Top 6 will spend big in the summer ... and Everton.

He has two reasons for saying that Everton will spend big. The first is to emphasise to everybody that he is an amazing coach who has managed to get the Baggies to 8th and secondly to give his own board a kick up the backside.
