Trilby was the name of a novel that introduced the world to the sinister puppet master Svengali (who that fat agent of Lukaku and Pogba brings to mind)
The hat's name derives from the stage adaptation of that novel (a hat of this style was worn in the first London production of the play, and promptly came to be called "a Trilby hat").
Interestingly, the fedora (the hat Indianna Jones wears) came from a play called Fedora...The first production in 1882 starred Sarah Berhardt in the title role of Princess Fédora Romazov. She wore a soft felt hat in that role which was soon a popular fashion.

Finally, I see we just signed a young bloke called Bowler...the Yanks call a bowler a derby...which augurs well for our future games vs Satan's Spawn.

People are talking about another center half (even 2!) and LB.. but what about RB cover? IMO we absolutely need some additional cover until Seamus is back.. or do we really think our young lads can handle it? Personally I'm not comfortable with that view

....whilst there are quite rightly lots of plaudits for Walsh and Kenwright for making these deals happen, I wonder if Alexander Ryazantsev has played a major role in making the transfer process more efficient and business like.

He apparently rejected us and Milan in hopes of a move to Juventus. Nothing seems to have materialised there, so I hope we go back with another, increased offer to him. Fits what we lack in the squad, and Rons system has shown to work best with someone pacey, with an eye for a goal working off the target man(Mane, Long even Valencia last year managed to have an impact when he was on despite his clear lack of footballing ability). It's the pace, chaos factor which we lack

Fair enough on Dzeko.. I thought his time at Citeh wasn't that impressive given the quality of the team about him, but if he's gone and banged in 39 goals for Roma then he's obviously quality.

Absolutely, nothing wrong with going back in for him as he very much ticks those boxes.

Iheanacho is very overrated. He's very Lukaku-like in the sense that his overall play and his touch are what lets him down. Decent finished though, but gimme that big gorgeous hunk Giroud any day.
