The best attempted Galactico impression was Notts County about 8 years back, brought in Sven as manager, and a certain Kasper Schmeichel. They were gonna do the classic Footy Manager cheat where you go on editor and give a lower league team £100m to spend and take them to the top. All started going south when Sol Campbell left after playing one game.

We can still sign and pay for players. Just can't register them. They wouldn't be able to change their minds.

I might be a little mistaken, but might not be too (alcohol), but it was said on that podcast we will be able to increase our wage bill by £30m-50m without getting into FFP trouble, even without taking into account the sales of Barkley and Lukaku. And this is because of increases in commercial revenue and freeing up the wage bill by selling players previously and releasing players.

Wouldn't be a normal transfer thread without lots of talk of FFP and finances.

Will be worrying if Everton don't announce a player or two at the start of the window. Squad needs a major overhaul for the 3rd year running.

Batshuayi is a good player and proved it at both Standard & Marseille. Conte never gave him a fair crack of the whip and he would of done well at Chelsea if given more minutes. We should be definitely asking the question about Batshuayi though!

After Costa's revelation last night, we kinda have Chelsea by the balls now. Conte seems to of nailed his colours to the mast and told Costa he's not part of his plans cos he wants rid to make way for Lukaku, and it has to be Lukaku cos he's not even getting involved in the Morata stuff, so we need to be the ones in the driving seat and say right, we will sell but we want X amount or a player plus cash deal and let's see how much they really want Lukaku. And they will get desperate to have him in the end!.....
