With the "evolution not revolution" comment, I would expect there to be bare minimum 3/4 players, for a decent fee.

Anything above that (even though we need more) would be a bonus based on that.

Yep, i have changed my initial 6-8 signings to 3-5 based on that interview yesterday and changed spend to 70-100m

Think people are misconstruing the line evolution not revolution

Seen it getting interpreted as a limited recruitment, slow process.

I understood it as meaning the recruitment won't change in terms of the model of player we target as in we aren't gonna be suddenly ripping up the Model of recruitment targets - age/type of player and be going towards the mode of recruitment of trying to buy the finished ready made players.

Talk about having much more scope financially I took as meaning but now we can aim for a higher calibre in the profile fitting certs criteria (age, potential, etc), in other words due to finding out targets can evolve - be of higher calibre and cost etc

Terrible source and wouldn’t normally post it, but this is A: The quality of player we’ll hopefully be going for, and B: now we’re armed with a Summer kitty these kind of links will come thick and fast which is exciting. We can normally write 99.9% of links off because we all knew we never had any money, but now there’s hope there that these kind of links will have a grain of truth to them! Summer is going to be very interesting for a change.

Ste, it took Kev 34 days to get one loan over the line and he still needed to lob in a deal sheet to get it done.

He'll have a nervous breakdown trying to bring in anything over 3 players 😆

Myko is terrible. A fullback unable to cross a ball.
He is alright as a backup though or if we know we are going to be under the cosh. If we get rid of him we would need two in and there is both a cost and a period of settling in that need to be factored in.

While that looks embarrassing in terms of how long it took, seems to be lots of positive comments about the actual deal.

Almost feels like we actually played hardball and said this is the offer, they wanted more and we just said no and held our nerve whereas they bottled it to make sure they got the deal.

Thats actually a shout mate.

That or we go back renegotiate the agreed purchase price.
Any price would have to be dirt cheap though and Chelsea will never do that, he just doesn't score any goals and there is nothing within his profile that suggests he will, so far he has been a 1 in 6 player, that's just not PL level. It's also before you start even talking about the injury history. We need to stop with these types otherwise we will never move forward. If this is the best the scouting team can come up with then maybe we need to look at them and what they are doing.

Would disagree myself mate, I think he has quality.

Sure if we decide, I think we go back to Chelsea and negotiate with the leverage you mention. I’d take on board the injuries.

As someone else suggested a loan with an option for another year may be the clever play.

Think he’s a player both the Dof and manager would like.

January I think we were paralysed a bit not sure what to do being honest mate.

Caught between bringing targets in from this year's mist and I ever can possibly get in the summer

So we can get Nuamah now but if we wait five months we can go for 'this' player if a much higher calibre etc.
Same with Fellows or Niel etc, act in Jan but doing so means come summer we've already recruited whereas if we'd waited we can get an 'evolved' level of player.

Can see that being very much the case actually...

Or Thelwell lost his mobile and took him 29 days to find it.

Whoever is in charge of bringing in the players in the summer needs to do business early.

With so many new players needed we can be scrambling around after the season has kicked off to still be trying to bring in 3-4 more.

We need 4 players before pre-season starts at a minimum
