Up front, he's quite good playing the lone striker role to be honest.

Thought Distin and Jagielka in particular done a great job on him yesterday.
yeah, that's why i said ''occasions'' i still remember that tunnel on Distin, that was really great play from him.

is he a good goal scorer? how many times did se scored for wolves?

I think he's scored six or seven which is an achievement itself for them. One of them was against us at Goodison.

I'm not saying he's what we need but I like him when I watch him. An intelligent player who holds it up well and can net.

Well I consider both Yak and Saha lazy, I know some will claim they aint, but I think they are.

I think thats the main reason Moyes wont play them both.

AJ worked his bollocks off and we flogged him when we got the yak....they couldve worked well as a pair.

When you're a class goal scorer you make teams worry no matter how much hard work you put in. Drogba, anelka, Defoe, bent, are all lazy in terms of not hounding the ball every 2 seconds

The thing is in theory the Yak and Saha should be an awesome pairing- the power and guile of Yak and the pace and trickery of Saha should be a handful for anyone and lets not forget- these are two of the best finishers in the Premier League but because of our system we only play one or the other.

I believe that with Fellaini and Arteta in the middle we can play 4-4-2 and maybe then we will see the best out of our side.
hoorah, finally someone on the same wavelength

Suppose we could play 4-4-2 with Cahill taking one of the striker slots?

But that would basically be a 4-5-1 anyway just like now really.

Fellaini/Arteta/Pienarr/Bilyaletdinov

Saha/Yakubu.

Looks good.

We have some very clever and quick players, i've watched beckford a few times, he has speed and knows where the goal is but is easly intimidated and can go missing,i think Carew as a battering ram to upset defences would do well at goodison, because arteta cahill pinnar and osman would thrive, and hes out of contract at the end of the season.

Oh no, it's another "we need striker" topic, maybe somebody will make "Moyes needs to go" and "Arteta lost his heart" too...
We have 2 good strikers - they aren't Torres, but we can't afford Torres. And they are definitely good enough to be a starter and back-up for a TOP 4 team.

If there's any striker I would look at... it's Own Goal, I don't know how much MU did paid for him, but maybe he has a twin?

N'Zogbia is great, but will cost at least 10 mln. So not a chance... unless we sell Fellaini or Rodwell.

Extending Pienaar's contract has to be a priority.

Btw - I always wanted this to know: how did we fund Yakubu, Baines and Jagielka transfers in summer 2007

Earl!

* The Zog is coming!

After 2 poor summers, this time round I want an all over tan.

You know, a full footed " I've been to fcukin Miami" type of fcukin thing.

I've boughjt new flip flops.

#1 Sign a Striker

I've been banging this drum for an eternity. Sure a good winger would be a nice, but for me the priority is a striker.

As good as Saha can be, he can't be relied on to be available.

As good as Yakubu can be, he can be very hit and miss and go through his spells.

I'm not convinced with Vaughan. I can't see him ever being a regular starter at Everton and even if he had the ability, fitness is another matter.

Does anyone agree?
