Neiler

Player Valuation: £100m
No not an ace table football game, actually a Serbian centre half from Dortmand, Sign em, Sign em all:

Borussia Dortmund have told Everton they can forget about signing their Serbian starlet Neven Subotic.

The 20-year-old has been one of the revelations of the season in since arriving at the Westfalen from Mainz in the summer and as such Dortmund have attracted many envious glances from across Europe.

Everton have been th club most strongly linked in recent days, prompting BVB chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke to underline the club's commitment to keep the 6.3ft central defender by stating to Bild:

"Everton FC can forget about coming up with an offer.

"We do not think about selling Neven, he is a key part of our future plans."

The player himself admitted a move abroad would appeal to him at some point in his career, but for now he is fully committed to the Borussia cause.

"I am under contract at Borussia Dortmund and I am feeling well being there," said Subotic.

"Mid-term it could become an option to move abroad, but at this period of time a move to another country would be much too early for me.

"I feel there is something good going on at Borussia Dortmund, our team can do a lot next term and I like being part of this."

More rubbish. We have 3 set cbs, plus havent we just signed 2 young ones, plus rodwell and our own youngsters coming thru. And at 20 he'd want to be pushing to get some playing time i imagine. Why would we take another one on when theres other areas we need to strengthen?

I personaly think we need four mate especially if Valente isnt offered a new contract and Lescott will be the covering left back for Baines. Rodwell just isnt ready yet despite his undoubhted quality and hype.

Love it, clubs are fearing losing their best young talents to us, Hamburg were gutted to lose Mustafi to us. We're scouring the world for the best young talent & they're joining us because they know if they're good enough they'll get a chance to establish themselves in the team of someone who's a regular in European football & trying to break into the sky 4

Long may it continue, keep up the good work Everton

Im sure Dortmund are well peeved with us after the Pienaar affair!

They agreed the fee for Pienaar with us, we did really well to get him for that price, they did really poorly to allow a player of his ability to leave for that price. You can tell he's worried with that comment though, they want to keep him but know if we really want him chances are they'll lose him. It's about time we were able to do that, so many times over the years it's been the opposite way around so I think we should take full advantage as other teams have of us in the past

subotic. you can imagine him going round 5 men and ****ting one in to the top corner all whilst he's balancing on a huge wok pan.

cue commentator... oh subotic skills there from the everton man.

I read this in some other papers as well. While I love that we go for young players that come cheap and have a promising future... why all the defenders when we need midfielders more?

Can't see much truth in this article. It's not like we'll have a mega amount of money to spend (or did I miss something?). Think one area that is best covered is our Central Defence. Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka and Joseph Yobo, with Skohdran Mustafi waiting in the wings and Jack Rodwell also able to play there.

Someone pushing to get playing time in his first season can only be a good thing for us to be honest.

Apparently the US National Team were real high on getting him to play for us but he chose to play for Serbia instead.

Haven't seen him play before so I can't comment on his skill level.
