Has anyone enquired about legality of Stub Hub? I rang the club and asked them how they could consent to being part of a ticket tout site. I asked this question because I have been approached by stewards and police when I have been trying to either give away or sell my sons adult seat for £20 outside the Park End when he cant get home for a match ( he is is the army ). I have spoke to someone at the Football Supporters Federation and they said I should start up an investigation.
Now I think it is a good idea to sell unused season tickets but not at an inflated price, I suggested that Stub Hub should have a programme on the site that doesn't allow people to post up an inflated priced ticket.
Does anyone have any suggestions or am I flogging a dead horse.

I can't understand this Stubhub arrangement. Stubhub approached me with a view to a commission based advertising system on here. If I'd agreed I'd have essentially have been a tout - exploiting Blues. No thanks.

Why couldn't the Club have implemented the same system? £££ and someone has to lose out somewhere. Shame it's the fans, time after time.

Easier for them to offload all the work to a company who already has the systems in place to allow trading i would think.

I don't think stubhub will work anyway in my opinion, not at Everton. We don't sell out and the majority all know someone who will pay us the value, and i don't think there are enough people out there who will pay some of the suggested high prices for a ticket with the exception of semi finals etc.

I've happily given, paid, received tickets from true blues on this site therefore I'm pleased that you refused stubhub's deal.

I was thinking about suggesting having a ticket exchange system but the simplicity of offering / requesting a ticket in the current format works well. Also GOT has the benefit of when a trade happens you are able to engage with other blues and i've had the good fortune of meeting a few from exchanging tickets here which considering i'm in London has proved a real benefit.

This is why you'll never make moderator.

Although I appreciate the enthusiasm (despite the BEING THE REF! rule break). This is the members first post mate - Make a comment on the thread, engage then direct to other existing posts.

It takes a lot of mental strength for new members to start a new thread - it's took this poor lad since August and you went and shot him down. MONSTER.

I'm tempted to set up a separate forum/thread on here dedicated to ticket exchange (face value)...

The problem with secondary ticketing sites is it encourages folk to buy tickets they don't need with a view to flogging them for profit. This is why big concerts 'sell out' in 30 mins, folk buy the four they're allowed, use two and flog two (or flog all four). The result is loads of empty seats at a 'sold out' gig as folk can't flog their extras due to a flooded market.

I recall surprise (nay joy) on here at the record speed the derby sold out this year, which could have been because they didn't ask for qualifying games (just membership), but I'd be surprised if stub-hub hasn't influenced it.

It will be interesting to see if my 'empty seat' observation holds true next Sunday

Fuming here. Utterly fuming.

I merely pointed out to him that the topic had been covered, showed him where and explained what you and Mick would do to him for not complying with the rules.

I think it was a lot nicer then reporting the thread or a sarky "Oh look, it's this thread again" style comment which some on here have been guilty of in the past.

Your oppression of the WoolPack has not gone unseen. Barack Obama is reportedly furious with you.

Barack Obama doesn't give two hoots about you independence wanting, sheep organ devouring, tartan Y-fronted rabble.
