It may not be obvious to all but please, do not post streams in the forum.

You risk a perma-ban.

Contributions must not;

i) Contain any illegal activity

h ) Be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;

If anyone messages me privately mate is it ok i advise them with some examples of said streams they should not be looking at to view our matches as to view these streams would not be welcome by the companies with tv rights in the uk and we shouldnt be endorsing such activites ;)

Yeah, I didn't know this till last week. Posted a link to a stream and luckily a longer serving poster picked up on it dead quickly so I deleted it. On reading the rules I realised it was a big no-no.

Deffo best to read the Sticky Thread on rules before you post anything.

The trouble there is - It's easy to take the rules for granted: Don't insult anyone or be threatening. It's easy to think a link is within the rules

By PM is ok but asking for a stream in the match thread is also going to result in you being banned from the thread and possibly suspended from the forum.

I would advise those of you looking for a matchday stream to go on Twitter in the half hour before kick off as loads are posted on there. If you want, you can message me on there @GOT_bluejock amd I'll try and help you out if I can.

Just incase someone argues, it may well still be a grey area in UK law regarding the legality of streams in this country,

But, this site choses to take away any risk of getting in legal trouble so has a zero tolerance policy on posting links to streams.

And that's the correct stance to take. We might see it as 'pally' but I wouldn't want to see anyone in bother coz I'd posted a link to a stream.

Is it just links to streams showing live matches that aren't alllowed? or are links to highlights packages that have already aired on TV included?

I think in general its links to live matches which is the main problem.

However even links to highlights/goals will be illegal unless they are on either the official Everton site, and then either Sky,BT,ITV or any other site that has the rights to show them.

As i said earlier its a grey area a lot of the time but to be on the safe side its best not to post.

Thats not to say a blind eye won't be shown to highlights and goals, but thats down to the mods.

Pretty sure highlights are ok, usually see a few highlights links post match so I'm assuming it's alright.

Do your worst, mods!
