Stop Owling Around - Sheffield Wednesday's Dilemma

this is very sad news for such a historic club

Proper fans, proper ground and proper club.

My lad lives not far from their ground, it`s has a very similar feel on matchdays to goodison, with all the pubs, cafes and chippies.

Hopefully they can now reset after getting rid of the crook that owns them.

When a club is down, when they need support more than ever, what do the football authorities do ? Deduct them 12 points and make it far worse, can not see the sense of this it is cruel for the club itself and especially their fans. They have been badly run surely the punishment of bulk of it should land on the owners, that sounds a lot fairer to me.
It's to try to stop the peter risdales of the world running a club on a prayer and then when it doesn't pan out, bailing out scot free. And of course hmrc always want their pound of flesh, unless it's out of one of the gentry that is...

Thai Union's UK brand is John West whose registered office is at No. 1 Mann Island, Liverpool L3 1BP. I already have a large quantity of John West sardines and mackerel in my food cupboard.
That's the end of john west then. Hopefully someone on the Wednesday forums has suggested similar.

Very sad news. The only positive is that the fans probably would accept this to get rid of the owner at last.

It's bound to cause problems for a couple of years, hopefully they can stabilise soon afterwards in the hands of someone who cares.

I cannot for the life of me think why Chansiri didn't take what was being offered when he had the chance...mentalist.

Seems to be a rumour he's heaped debt against the ground, so it's possible he's mortgaged them up to the hilt and split with his* money.

Think I’ve got a tin of John West in the cupboard that’s survived about 16 years and 3 house moves.

Might throw it out after finding this news out.
