Steven Naismith

Completely different footballers. The fact there's any confusion over them shows how badly they've both been used. Osman is a central midfielder, Naismith is a striker.

I've defended Naismith in the past, as I'm not a fan of ripping our own players, especially when they put in a shift.

However, some things just can't be defended. He was abysmal on Saturday, and he was rightfully pulled at half-time. Much as he earned a starting spot after Chelsea, I reckon he's just lost it with that inept performance.

Has anyone got stats to show he 'puts a shift in' like how many KM a game he averages compared to the rest?

I've watched him quite a lot and I have never seen him leave the pitch without both socks still on. I think this may be a myth made up by the Park End wools who defend him.

This, and if it can be in the form of a bar chart but instead of bars it's socks and instead of a graph it's legs just to show who has ran the most of their socks off on average, that'd be swell.

Remember Martinez's first season here, when he used to value flair players and exciting football? Don't know what happened since but he's gone so cautious he's basically turned into Moyes

I really don't understand. The setup was atrociously negative against United, and I can't see anything different against Arsenal.
