What's the status on his injury then?

I read something about Martinez saying he had soft tissue damage on his hamstring, not expected to keep him out long but he'll miss Thursday defo!

I think the 2 blood and thunder home internationals would have taken a fair bit out of him as well, he's played absolute loads this season when you think about it! He's earned a little rest for sure!

Was poor first half, much improved second half. Real shame he's injured, but hoping it gives Barkley a chance to play in his position, now.

guy guys lets talk more about how rubbish nais was and how good he is now, ying and yang, ice and fire, black and white, blah , blaah

could possibly be a blessing in disguise? regarding the next two games anyway. spurs away is a very big game, think we can definitely win there, but with martinez seeming to want to fit barkley and naismith onto the same pitch we're losing our structure. Only one can play, with naismith injured for a game or two - he may realise that he needs to be rotating both in that one position not shoehorning one to the wing,

Tbf, having wingers fit and ready might be a factor, Mirallas has been injured as has Pienaar, McGeady seems to have gotten less game time for some reason. Was great seeing Oviedo back at Old Trafford but to then be knocked back into recovery must have been a tough blow.

An accompanying piece on the BBC website too.

I think he's trying hard to get back the ground he lost with Rangers fans after he jumped ship. I doubt it will work though. He's avoiding talking about the real reason that set him apart from the other's jumping that ship and why he's singled out: he stated that Rangers didn't exist anymore. That's where the venom toward naismith springs from. That's a matter for them, of course. But Naismith is being disingenuous there by lumping himself in with the likes of Whittaker, Davis, etc etc. I doubt he'll ever put matters straight with that lot if he doesn't front up that issue and apologise for making the statement. Presumably he'd want to square it off for the sake of family still up there.

He's only talking about himself there. The journalist does all the taking about Rangers and he just answers questions.

He only says "it was a horrible situation to be in".

(he's got a family to feed and it wasn't his fault Rangers hadn't been paying the tax man).

"Throughout the whole thing the biggest thing for us players was that [no non-playing staff were] made redundant, and we did that part of it, but then when it got even further down the line…", he did not need to finish the point, the clincher was coming.

"Now there's criminal activity being suggested, so over time I'm sure the truth will come out."

"Looking back I would definitely have done some things differently," Naismith said.

"None of us wanted to leave that way, but I think all of us can say we did all we could.

"But fans always have their opinions, and that's their right. They pay good money to come and watch. They are the backbone of a club, especially one like Rangers,

"I think over the last two to three years they've been treated appallingly, and for everybody's sake I hope it gets better and they can get back into the division they deserve to be in and challenging for trophies."

So reality is he's been quite magnanimous. Like the true Evertonian he is.

That must really make you fume
. :bye:

4 people have been charged with Fraud over Rangers too. Including two administrators.

By fraud they mean that they've defrauded creditors and the tax man and shareholders potentially over the sale.
