If he makes it 4 on the next game I'm gonner be all :D.

When he gets numbers 10 and 15. I'll be coming back with :whip: from the vaults too.

The lads shown tremendous bottle and balls for Everton.

Naismith bandied around with names like Van Basten and Linekar! I like it!

My brother mentioned yesterday that he saw somewhere a comment that from the bench when on it Naismith spends his time watching the defenders positions during play to learn their movements for when he comes on, so he knows where to play.. Not sure many substitutes even barely watch the games sometimes! (Not necessarily our team I add)

You just described Van Basten right there.

Nothing wrong with making a living of being at the right spot at the right time AND taking your chances.
Van Nistelrooy as well. Added hardly anything to a game, almost to a point of laziness, apart from slotting copious number of balls away from within the area.

Now I'm in no way suggesting Naismith is another Ruud, however he unquestionably contributes to our game either through his work rate or the goals he scores. He may not be the most technical player in the world but the results are what's important. Three of our seven goals this season are Naismith's.

I'm gonna throw in George Best as well mate. Seriously though he's finding pockets of space every game where you fancy him to score, nice habit to have.
He has a free role. If a player cant find space in those circumstances they need shooting. He doesn't have the same shift as Barkley, who is tasked with a far greater workload carrying the ball, being asked to be the creator of chances and scoring too. Naismith has it very nice in there as it happens.

I will happily hand you a towel to wipe the egg off of your face come season end when Naismith is our top scorer and regarded best player! ;)
I dont think it'll come to that, tbh. Happy if he does get the goals, but he'll be out of the team when Barkley comes back in.

Very handy player to have off the bench though. We need a strong bench.

Would that be the same Barkley who played an entire season without an assist to his name last year?

That's nads Dave
