Steven Naismith though.

This.

He's just different class when all's said and done. In fact, it's unfair on Naismith to compare him with Barkley. Barkley, as mentioned, shifts the whole momentum of a game: the Derby last season at Goodison being a case in point. The pick up from centre circle to edge of box is terrifying and has opponents defences ALWAYS wary of what he'll do.

Correct.

They're two very different kind of players. Naisy's doing brilliantly and fully deserves his place in the team. What a fantastic dilemma for Martinez to have when Barkley is fit again though. Does he rotate them, try to find a system that suits both of them or what ?

Think back a year or two to when if someone got injured and we were struggling to find a half way decent replacement. Hence the importance of the squad rather than just the first eleven.

What an unbelievable transformation. I thought he was utter [Poor language removed] with that cup defeat at leeds probably his worst performance. Hes completely won me over and his finish against chelsea was criminally overlooked because of our defensive nightmare

Wonder if Barkley will slot straight back in once he is fit or will Naismith keep his place? Either way nice dilemma to have.

Wonder if he'll play Barkley a few more times on the left of a midfield three, like we did at Arsenal at home last year. Ross, along with a lot of iot of other players, had a really good game that day.

Someone on here has the bossest story ever about Naismith, how they were slating him all match against Chelsea and when he scored the people in front turned around and said they were his family and to [Poor language removed].

Just...legends.

I think he also played a bit of a deeper role at times in that game, fits in well there Ross!

Naisy Ishtar most indespencible player in the team at the minute! Incredible transformation
