Steven Naismith though.

It has him on 5 there for PL games and Barkley on two! Crackpot figures.

I think I'll stick with my source.

I think the forum knows which are the crackpot figures and which aren't Dave. People have eyes and watch the game despite what you tell them.

McCarthy, Naismith and Mirallas all need their contracts renewing. McCarthy not as much of an issue, but Kev definitely. He showed yesterday how good he can be and he along with Naismith and Coleman were the ones doing all the pressing. McCarthy ran his socks off yesterday - not his best game by any stretch but he was covering for an inept Jags and a poor Barry.

Simple.

The defence on the other hand...

There is no doubt, in an age when many footballers are totally isolated from reality, that Naismith has his feet firmly on the ground and is (i) aware of the fortuitous position (albeit through his skill and hardwork) he finds himself, and (ii) mindful of the poor, ill and disadvantaged.

He's an absolute credit to himself, his profession and Everton FC.

I like the way he keeps this work low key. Shuns the publicity.
