But lets be honest, Steve Walsh wouldnt go out there and give them an offer and then wait for a reply.

It will be a case of entering a room and staying till the deal is done.

Chill the boys, this fella will be on the Goodison pitch 5.20 New Years day with a shirt above his head.

You think the club would just send an email.

It’s end stage really, agreed in principal before they flew to Turkey.

One of the directors will be with him.

Yeah, they didnt just fly to Turkey to take a shot in the dark. I dont think they are interested in wasting that kind of time and money. They likely had something close to agreement in principal, and Walsh went there to negotiate and iron out details. At the very least hes likely been told what he can go up to, and hes going to negotiate with them face to face, over a day, to get the best deal he can and then pull the trigger.

At this point the only way I see it falling through is if someone bigger lobs in a great offer at the last minute, or if Besiktas pull a Swansea and say "On second thought, we want more".

Normally I'd agree. But Walsh spent a week in Milan remember.

True, but that seemed more of a general scouting/recruitment trip where there are a lot more potential prospects. At the time people didnt even know who he was there for, giving even more credence to it being more of a general scouting/negotiation trip. This time theres a bonafide prospect thats already been reported to be coming here, and its in an area where there is NO one else they would be visiting.
