17 signings, of whom 2 were great, rest was avarage. I figure the amount spend was around £200m. It's an avarage of £11m pr. player.

What did you expect?

Not saying Walsh is a great scout, but be realistic.

It seems he was appointed because Moshiri felt it was an easy-win, another step in the right direction and something that most were in agreement with.

I still think the DoF role can work, but not where the incumbent seemingly has no clear definition of duties and no clear place in the hierarchy.

Apart from the signings obviously, I don't think Walsh has the force of character to be a success in the role. If the job is being done properly, the DoF will be the meat in the sandwich between the board and the manager, and if you're acting as a check on everything, then there is plenty of room for conflict and argument. He will be the voice of prudence and caution, and usually one that the manager doesn't wish to hear.

It is a senior role, and far from that of chief-scout, where you get paid for your opinions but have no responsibility or authority.

The majority of our signings it seems were just waved through, and any form of proper assessment was over-ridden. How else can you begin a season with no recognised senior striker, and no cover at LB, amongst other deficiencies.

I won't say I am sorry for him, as if he feels there is an impediment to him doing his job properly, he should stop taking his salary and walk.

This bloke will turn out to be the most expensive flop in football history

Obvs there's been players that were massively overpaid for in 1 hit for like 30-60m, (Torres, Andy Carroll, Gylfi), but we could end up sinking 300/400 mil on this utter chancer before he gets the sack

Need to get him gone before he scares the club from spending any money in the future

Pickford and i think also Walcott is a great signing.

What do you think?
Pickford is a good signing and I do feel positive about Walcott but it’s a bit too early to judge him for us yet.

I actually think the players we’ve signed aren’t too bad it’s just that they can’t seem to play well together. God knows what they do in training all week?!

Not just his incompetence in wasting money and leaving us with an unbalanced squad but also what identity do we have? What kind of football does he want to implement throughout the club?I haven't a clue we look utterly bereft.

Imagine a world where the manager sent a couple of scouts off to games to look at players the manager wanted, with their pockets stuffed with envelopes of money for inducement. I hate modern football, too many people with a finger in the pie.
