I get that Koeman going mid-season was probably a shock to Walsh, but surely as director of football he should always be keeping tabs on managers and coaches.

In his defence, I suppose that if the purpose of the role is to ensure continuity of ethos through recruitment of both players and backroom staff, it doesn't help that the club has no ethos for him to work towards.

...i’ve always thought this should be a quarterly Board agenda item, regardless of how the team are performing.
 
Seriously does anyone know his actual job description?
I would have thought overall transfer policy, the development of the squad and the integration of U23 players, the overall balance of the playing staff, technical staff, coaching..if that's so, isn't he also to blame?
