We assumed there might be struggle between the 2?
I just can't believe Walsh has escaped from this saga unpunished. No replacement for Rom.140 million for an unbalanced mess of a squad.

All of the ones you have tagged as Koemans signings hit high on various statistics though mate, and Walsh is a huge fan of stats analysis in player recruitment.
Klassen and Sigurdsson both covered as much ground as any player in their respective divisions, keane recorded a huge amount of blocks etc, Schneiederlin likewise at Saints recorded some amazing numbers in key areas, and Leicester tried to buy Bolasie when Walsh was there.
Maybe Koeman was the one who called them out as wanting them, but all of them pass the Walsh statistics test, the main issue with walsh that none of us can know yet, is if he can balance the equation between a players ability and stats that say he's a good acquisition and balance that against the prices being asked - now that he's at a club unlike Leicester was then with genuine money to spend...
That all goes back to what you reckoned about us overpaying though - which ofc we did do - but we wouldn't have gotten those players for less (maybe some we would if we'd negotiated harder - but who knows on that)
As for all those signings - i think all besides Bolasie (due to injury)and Klassen (due to looking so out of his depth it's untrue) will ultimately come good, IF we sold any of the others say in January - i doubt we'd actually take a hit on what we paid on any of them in this market - with the exception of Sigurdsson - which we overpaid for obviously (given we'd already brought in Klassen and Rooney)
You left out one who is 100% a Walsh signing btw, the young lad whose been loaned to Anderlecht - no chance on earth Koeman would buy a player he'd only end up working with for 1 of his 3 years at most.
Maybe there was agreement on some of those "Koeman" signings by Walsh and they pass the data criteria....as I'd hope any player we buy would. But that's the way a committee of two like that will operate: one person will get their way on one player the other on another player. That compromise doesn't detract from the point that we can very probably detect which ones were pushed by which man.
Very low chance that Cuco Martinez and Gilfi were Walsh's choices.
