Assistant manager Steve Round says Everton are looking to close in on long-standing targets of manager David Moyes during the current transfer window.
Moyes told supporters at Wednesday's Shareholders' Forum that he is looking to bolster his squad this summer, while chairman Bill Kenwright confirmed an offer for Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton had been accepted.
Now Round has revealed a number of potential targets for the summer's transfer window were first identified ahead of the 2008/09 campaign.
He also promised the Blues would continue to scour the market during the Club's upcoming tour of Canada and America, insisting preparations for friendlies against the MLS-All Stars and River Plate would not delay potential transfers from being completed.
"The search goes on, of course it does," he told evertonTV. "We're hoping to sign players this transfer window that we were targetting two transfer windows ago.
"It will never stop and no matter where you are in the world, in the age of the internet and emails and phones it (being on tour) is no different to being here really. If anybody signs while we're away we'll just fly them straight over - it's not an issue."
