Think he is an absolute melt. He never sticks to long with a club, ever. Today he's resigned from Reading. So he didn't get them back up staright away and he walks out on them. His response to failure - resign. Don't like him, views?

Find it difficult to get onside with that view. lost sidwell, lost kitson, didnt replace, lita went awol. hand tied around his balls. tried to work miracles, but was hung out to dry.

got some fine performances from reading, got some great results (that 3-1 was cordon bleu), sometimes managers need a fresh challenge, and I suspect he will be a prem manager next season, possibly sunderland or newcastle or portsmouth. theres a few spots available soon. hell, if hiddink walks, chelsea could do a lot worse.

You have a point, but i think he could of given Reading another season at least to get back to the prem. He's a dull, dull man aswell

I think this is a very timely holiday set to end just after the Barcodes get relegated and he takes them over next season.

Must be on the cards. He would be the perfect manager to get them back up. Proper step up for him from Reading to Newcastle. A very realistic and wise one also.

Reading exodus me thinks, i can see them going into decline.

Have a lot of time for Coppel hes a down to earth bloke who just calls it as he sees it, has a lot of integrity.

The game is a poorer place without himin it!

I watched his post match interview, he practically quit there and then. I also like the guy and expect him to be back as a manager within a few months. Not sure about him going to the Toon though, I wouldn't wish that job on anyone under their current regime.

I like him. He seemed a bit down at the end of last season, so I expect he's just fed up with things. Plus he lost some key players as well. maybe he thought he'd done all he could.
