In the US, rare.

In South America, rare is basically tossed on the grill for 17 seconds, flipped for 10 more seconds, and served... so I go medium-rare.
 

Can't eat steak much anymore, but when I do, rare. Not too fussed if its medium rare, but more than that and I might as well throw it on the floor.
 
For me, between a medium-rare and medium is poifeck.

Wrap in some foil when taken off the grill.

Open up five minutes later, juice central.
