I've been discussing Martinez' approach to cup games and team selection with Artetafan, the reason the FA Cup is more important than the League Cup, whether the rewards from the League Cup justify a focus on it etc. etc.
Basically I'm discussing Everton on an Everton forum. People disagree with me, yes, but others agree, that's what a discussion is. If you don't want to in this thread, fine, don't, there's loads of others.

Didn't say I owned the thread, but if you don't like what is happening in the thread, nobody is forcing a gun against your head to stay and read it and reply to it. I don't feel it's pedantic, I feel it's pretty important. If people are upset about Everton going out of the League Cup tonight, then isn't it worth trying to discuss exactly why that is? It's easy to say "because I want a trophy", but if Martinez felt it was right to use a rotated squad, then that is seemingly strongly against what most fans feel is the right course of action.
Is it going to be something that is used to beat Martinez with if we slip down the league, or go out of the FA Cup early?
I'm not being obtuse here, these are all questions that lead on from whether the Capital Cup should be a focus for Everton.
