Starting 11 with everyone fit

I think Barkley offers more in midfield, defensively and has that ability to dribble and score the spectacular.

Naismith is more prolific.

I honestly I'm not sure who I would go for but my gut would probably say Barkley.

Personally I don't like playing 4-4-2 which we do when naismith plays as it leaves us open in midfield especially when we also play Barry.

We've got so many great attacking options now. The trick is trying to squeeze Rom, Eto'o, Mirallas, Naismith and Mcgeady onto the pitch at the same time. And that's ignoring Atsu, Pienaar and Barkley!

If we can sort our defence out we'll be flying.

Cant actually decide too easily on the best 11, cant remember the last time we had options, quality options at that. In recent years the starting XI has picked itself and with the likes of Fellaini and Cahill, we didnt even have an out and out striker.

Yeah Tim its it defence and the CBs in particular. Barry playing deep offers protection on the floor through the middle .
I cant help but feel Jags and Distin have forgotten how to win headers.

Howard
Baines, Stones, Distin, Coleman
McCarthy, Barry
McGeady, Barkley, Mirallas
Lukaku

Bench:
Robles, Jagielka, Oviedo, Besic, Naismith, Pienaar, Eto'o

Personally I think that is our strongest first 11 and bench, pretty much anyone from the bench could be in the starting 11, though I am not sure about Robles

Lukaku, McCarthy too, Gareth Barry!

Once they've all bedded in a bit, I'd go with....

Howard
Coleman Stones, Distin, Baines
McCarthy, Besic
McGeady, Barkley, Mirallas
Lukaku
Subs:
Robles, Jagielka, Oviedo, Barry, Naismith, Pienaar, Eto'o

Besic a bit controversial tho' probably. Its all aba opinions like

Something a bit different, diamond 4-4-2:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
McCarthy
Barkley----------Pienaar
Mirallas
Lukaku ------Eto'o

Naismith has proved a lot of the boo boys wrong and is now flavour of the month. I've long stood up for him and he would be in my team.

After seeing Eto'o in the flesh last game I have to admit I had underestimated him. He made such an impact on me that I would say he would be the first name on the team sheet now for me - by a long stretch. Without a shadow of a doubt.

I also think that by the end of the season that Besic will become as indispensable as McCarthy. I want that extra energy in there.

So I find myself in the ludicrous position of not being able to fit in three of our biggest players - Barry, Barkley and Lukaku.

What a great headache for Martinez to have.
