I think you are right about the legacy , once the hype dies down it will be exposed as a lazy rehash with weak story and characters.
put it this way I bet you the hype and build up the next one will be full of scepticism and fans hoping for a better movie.
They wont admit it but deep down they know there are flaws.

I would like to see the Sand People form a band and the next movie is an 8mm hand held camera shot fly on wall documentary about them recording an album and going on tour around the galaxy complete with video diaries , artistic differances and rock star meltdowns.
For a change like

I was amazed they basically had another bar like the one from Star Wars - so unimaginative.

Not entirely. Phantom Menace was just bad, have enjoyed work certification videos more than that.
Attack of the clones had some ok parts but still very meh. Dont think Ive watched it more than once in full.
Revenge of the Sith was very good I thought. Streets better than the latest one imo.
Hard to compare them but impossible not to.

Maybe its harsh as it is entertaining , clever and funny at times.
I would love to see Christopher Nolan get a pop at a Star Wars trilogy. Bring some darkness back into it.

no chance, the films arent meant to be that dark...its a kids/family film at its heart

people who grew up watching it have also grown up and are expecting something darker and more exciting to match their changing taste
