Calling DaveK.

I am really saddened when I read many of your posts none more so than those on this thread. How can you be so unhappy and miserable. Where you born that way or did it take a great deal of practice over the years. Apart from our team winning is there anything at all out there in the wide world which comes close to cheering you up or feeling less unhappy, please let us know so that we can come together and make life more bearable for you. Also for once keep politics out of it there is more to life than that.Robert

Says the man who ruined my paddy,s day with political comments. Hypocrite.

For the record, anyone who wants to celebrate, do so proudly, anyone who doesnt feel it, ala davek, shouldnt really have his opinion shot down.

The actions of the real IRA are hardly politics. Stand up and say you do not hold with the murder of soldiers, and other ordinary people just doing their job or trying to get on with their lives. Tell them voilence is not the answer.

Well, we might not like it, but St Georges Day is here to stay. Revival of 400 year tradition, concert in Traf square (hopefully with no morris dancers this year) for the 2nd year running, pubs showing flags and shops getting into the act. So long as its not hijacked by the extreme right (St George is also the Patron Saint of Ethiopia as well as Russia, but don't tell the BNP this) then it should pass as one of those days for the "English" to have a day for themselves.
