I like Italy. Had a soft spot for them since the 1978 WC when an absolutely boss team knocked out England in qualifying then won the group of death (Argentina, France and Hungary) only to run out of steam in the second phase. I'm from Birkenhead mate and don't hate England (that much).
The reference in my previous post wasn't a swipe at England. more to do with mentioning how good that Italy team was in that they had to come through a tough qualifying group.
