Let's hope the January transfer window see's us strengthen significantly, whilst also ditching some of the dross.

Goes back to last season and before why did RM not give our young players a better chance than wasting money on that deadwood we have mentioned.
Lennon had a great spell for us and deserved he place In the team, Mori also done a good job when called upon.
It is way to easy to say give the kids a chance, most kids are nowhere near ready for the step up to prem football and let's be fair we have seen some of the kids being given a chance.

As ever this expectation and self entitlement in players we should have in our squad is way above what we can get and also who wants to come to us...

Realism is needed at times, and sadly at times it is not used

Deadwood is way off the mark

Hi mate great post, and agree in most points

One question is finishing 8th and FA Cup semi, any better than finishing 11 th and 2 semi finals.
This isn't a defence of RM, simply pointing out the fine margins on what is deemed as a decent season.

If honest i agree with your expectation, but believe it will not be good enough for some
A good solid 7/8 th would be an improvement, particularly given we made a profit in the transfer window. We all hoped that by bringing in Koeman Moshiri was making a statement of intent and we would significantly bloated our squad. The names that were talked about certainly gave the supporters hope of a brave New world.
When the elusive marquee signing didn't materialise then, being honest, our top 4/6 ambitions disappeared. Anyone this harbouring thoughts of champions league are only heaping more pain on themselves.
If we get in another 1 or 2 who can improve the starting 11 then we can start to think about top 6. If not 7 or 8 is a good return for what we have.
This is all predicated on us being able to find a system that suits the players.

Agree with what you say yes but just remember Martinez was hounded out for finishing 11th and 2 semi finals so who knows what perceptions will be at the end of the season

Just been looking at Pochettino's start at Spurs. Took him 12 games and to the end of November to get above the 14 point mark we currently have, that included home defeats to Newcastle and WBA. Shows things don't happen overnight. Some of the bed wetting that's going on is beyond a embarrassing, same fans who probably boo the team off.

the profit in my eyes should of been in the last window, as for me we should of sold Stibes then

Teams without a win in last 3

West Ham 4 goals 2 pts, Boro 4 goals 2 pts, Leicester 4 goals 1 point, Everton 1 goal 1 point, Palace 7 goals 0 pts

The back four (five including keeper) all need replacing

Sadly can't see Williams being sold nor baines

Coleman is good enough as a second choice right back

Where's the money coming from
