we're kinda screwed. Key members of our starting eleven are in/entering their thirties.

Neville, Hibbert, Jags, Distin, Pienaar, Johnny, Osman

We have some young players who look like they could replace them (Barkley, Duffy, Oviedo) but Moyes doesn't seem to think they're even ready to consistently come off the bench. :/ With or without Champions League we need one big sale to get us enough money for 3 or 4 players.

Thats the kind of thinking which Bill Kenwright loves.

£20m extra per season for the next three seasons. Absolutely no reason to be selling to buy.

The Birmingham owner has conceded that he's going to have to sell Butland to keep the club afloat and Moyes has admitted enquiring about him, so that could have legs. Last season they were asking for stupid money (£15m). I'd imagine that £5m might be enough now but we haven't got it and, even if we did, our priority wouldn't be a 'keeper for the future.

I'd be fairly happy for Heitinga to go and for Lescott to come back. They both have 18 months left on their current deals. Ideally we're going to want to bring in some funds from the sale of Johnny, as we don't have too many other assets that we want to get rid of. I can't see us paying for Joleon, so we might have to try and broker a loan deal if they'll go for it.

I have a feeling that the Donovan saga has ran it's course. It seems like he's lost his motivation to play football generally. Ofoe could be an option and, fingers crossed, we'll land Holtby. It would look like Gueye isn't going to make the grade.

Moyes has mentioned that he'd like to bring another forward player in.
