At that level, more likely, granted.

I don't really by that much either. I mean the Saudi's pulled out of Newcastle as it's no longer viable. I think the days of just gifting money away ave gone. Even City have pulled spending in a fair bit. Oil prices/instability have an impact too.

I'd also say, Bale is not really a world star in the way some others are. I think he's great and would have loved him here, but he's not got that reach.

I suspect Spurs have signed him, because Mourinho has worked with him, likes the player and prefers to work with older pro's. There's a nominal transfer fee. If you can get Bale 80% right he's better than all of their existing wingers.
 

It's very true. If one of the best rated like Sergio Aquero or LewenskI had to rely on the Spurs midfield for service both of their numbers would drop.
Put Kane up top in the City or Munich team and his numbers would rise.
Yet another reason why I think Kane should leave and him winning trophies being the main reason.
I think he’d be perfect for city but he never seems to get linked
