Spurs

Kane doesn't seem the type to just not turn up. Deal must be done behind the scenes - is it definitely City? See him as a way better fit for United myself - they'd win the league with him up top.

Agree that if he's worth that sort of money to anyone it's United. Most likely to have a defining impact there

Doesnt work like that does it?

Like, £150m is an insane amount of money for a footballer anyrate, but putting that to one side, is his contribution to Spurs between now and the end of his contract, tangibly worth £150m? Maybe, but thats the calculation.

Personally, I think Spurs would be nuts to not take the cash; upfront. And this time, spend it well. But I am not a Spurs fan, so have no skin in the game.

Before covid he was definitely worth it. Now I'm thinking 100 to 125.

Not a chance levy will allow him to be registered for city for that game. Will get announced during or days after the game. He will be hoping spurs win and announce it after so people aren’t already fuming.

When Andy Cole left Newcastle for United, his first game was against Newcastle. Keegan and Fergie agreed it was best for all concerned that he didnt play.

As a post-pandemic Spurs fan, would there not be a concern that some of the cash would be squirrelled towards stadium cost? Any idea @Yid4life?

There's also the whole Bale legacy where there may be concerns that the money wouldn't be well spent, therefore they'll want to get as much as possible.

I am not intimate with their loan repayment plans, but I would guess that it (the cash) was linked to TV money, increased gates, and non football use, inc NFL. Wouldnt have been cooked up on a wing and a prayer that they will sell a few players.

That said, it would be tempting.

Daniel levy is a maverick though. Nothing would surprise me with him. Probably get some deal that every goal kane scores against spurs they get 5 mill bonus
