Think so. No idea if they have used the cash, or just held it, just in case.
I'm sure I read that right, certainly in our business that was highlighted that the terms for repayment were quite quick and stringent (as were countered with the commercial market, which while interest rates went higher there was a lot more fleibility).
Re Spurs I would be amazed if it hasn't been swallowed up. They have spent a lot last summer, and of all the clubs, seemed to be the most aggressive at different points on fans returning. I suspect the aggressive spend war partially on the expectations fans would be in firstly before, then immediately after Christmas.
Even before you factor missing out on CL (which still looks likely) I'm really not convinced that that money has not been swallowed. That Spurs were the ther club alongside Liverpool to consider furlough at the start, despite the awful press it would generate kind of underlines where they are.
As I think I mentioned in the previous post, I would say these Kane rumours are comign from Levy, who will be desperate to push people out of the door. Missing out on CL and potentially even EL (which is a huge reduction of games in that new stadium) will only exacerbate this further.
I have nothing against Spurs really, but purely from an Everton perspective, if they fall away, it's one less team for us to have to compete with next season, so you take it.
