Have to say in all honesty Joel produces a few good performances in a run of games that was kind to him and us by and large, and there is an almost reflexive reaction amongst the majority to lavish praise and talk down our need to have a keeper as good as or better than those at the clubs we aim to compete with.

In fact, stating his mediocrity and limitations as fact then gets frowned upon.

Sorry he was not, is not, and will not be good enough.
