Ive been noticing that Lukaku has a bit of a Jelavic going on about him lately. Not about the offside or being tosh, but that when he goes up for a header that Howard boots, he's easily ALWAYS a good yard or two away from it. I cant remember almost any headers he won that were booted deep yesterday.

you realise that Jela is nailed on to score against us, don't you?

...probably courtesy of a Howard howler

started well, but Ross has to be central, esp when we have wide players available,,for me starting Rom and sammy is a no,,,and why do we take a week to pass forward, we play better with a higher tempo with and without the ball,,,another jd i think and more reflection time

My mini review of the game on sunday.

Tottenham were better than us. Simple as that. their midfield had more urgency and us playing with two defensive mids really shown through. We need a replacement for Jimmy for when he isnt in the team, Besic is a defensive minded player and it left a massive gap to get over run ala their second goal.

We lacked the cutting edge because of the gap in midfield we have. When every thing has to go through barkely to make something happen then when he starts getting marked out the game and space cut from him then thats why we didnt look like scoring. Dare i say if cleverly had been loaned in he would be making the difference now as at least he could cover that gap and allow the midfield to hold its own.

McGeady again had a terrible cameo appearance, really dont rate him and seems like i am saying this on a weekly basis now. The lad was talented when he was younger but now he is a shadow of the 22 year old that lit up the scottish league.

Finally it also looked like we played the baines piennar game without one of them on the pitch. Im not a fan of the south african but i think he may have contributed quite well on sunday and perhaps been a difference.

It used to be an old centre forward trick you could use once in a game to run the centre back under the ball so a team mate gets through on goal, but he does it every time. If he was an amateur footballer I would say he is scared of being clumped by the centre half , but rom's a pro so maybe his judgment is off a yard !!

I have mentioned this in previous posts...I think he is scared of getting knocked out a la West Ham game last season
