Didn't get any streams to work so just kept an eye for the text updates. Should've bet more money on the Spurs win tho' as I'm still a bit 'meh' about the whole ordeal.

Landon should never come back here....NEVER!.

We had so many attacking players but each and everyone of them was focused to defend! **** off David Moyes....you've made enough money here without giving us much joy specially in the last 3 years. Jog on!

I had practice myself so only watched the 2nd half but I definetely felt we had a few half-chances that could have/would have resulted in something if we had some confidence and form. Felt we at least deserved a point since they didn't really trouble us much in the final third and Drenthe's second was a dead certain penalty no matter where you stood. Imagine if any other team had been denied that, there'd be an outrage like you wouldn't believe. Looked to me like Ekotto panicked and tried a shot from way far out since there was no on to pass it to. Shame Tim's butt is so shapely he shifted it away from Howard.

Fair play to Yid4Life but I can't stand the whole media-darling thing going on at Spurs right now. It's like a Red second coming the way the media touts them. They've developed a lot since a few years back, but I still don't see them as on a par with the two Manchester teams. They've probably overtaken a Chelsea that desperately needs a generational overhaul and the Arse who's been losing a few key players for the last few years. It's a tough one for 3rd now, who'd have expected that 2-3 years back.
It's just a crying shame it isn't us.

At one point in the second half, even at 2-0 down, there was a period were we threatened and actually looked like we could score once or twice. All huff and puff with us but no end product. It's incredibly frustrating and upsetting to watch.

Best part was we kept the ball and passed it well

FFS we kept passing to white shirts

Absolutely. Our passing last night was shocking. Billy being in a category of his own. Was it just me or was that the worse he has ever been? He looks totally lost. Is Moyes playing him just to keep him in the shop window or what? In any case I don't really think we can afford him in the team..

ARGH.

Waited all day to watch the game, went to Mom's birthday dinner, then came home and turned my DVR on. Depressed.

Not quite sure what to make of this game. Huffed and puffed in the final third is right. I thought we looked more composed than before - we moved the ball in general better (minus a few bad passes), and our possession wasn't horrible.

But our lack of potency in the final third is still apparent, and Saha had some opportunities - he did! Drenthe had a PK, and Saha had a few decent opportunities too. Not a lot, but they were there.

Cahill kept Modric in general out of the game, but he was defensive in the center, so our lack of creativity in the middle was very very apparent.

And anyone who told me Landon had lost his pace I hope they watched him go toe to toe with Lennon and steal the ball back after playing two 90 minute games in 1 week. Not to be a homer, but he's been a bright spot. However, he still has his problem of not going to goal - still defers too often, so still not playing at his best. But he's been one of Everton's best.

Distin going down = dire. Duffy did okay, so that was a phew. Heitinga had a decent game. Howard didn't.

I'm not going to rehash anymore or join the meltdown, but here's an interesting note:

Did folks notice that Landon and Vic changed places BEFORE Vic was taken off? Landon became 2nd striker pairing with Saha. Wonder what this means for going forward and if that was Moyes recognizing Saha's limitations.

I don't think we're going to be relegated, but we might not be in the top 10 this season if things don't change. Which means less money for next season. Ugh.

From that article:

Bilyaletdinov – 8.9

Bit surprised by that. Obviously their wages would far outweigh ours.

EDIT: Just realised they've put Saha down as 5, wasn't he free? Oh and I think Baines was 5m.

They've ignored the benches, it's all well and good comparing how much spent on the first team, but when you consider the reserves and anyone he's later sold on?
