So we showed a great deal of professionalism tonight. Controlled the game from start to finish against what was potentially a banana skin for us. Even the youngest blue will be we'll aware of us making a hash of games like tonight's. not so long ago that game would have caused us a real headache. Not tonight though.

Moyes is learning too. A close to full strength team tonight where in the past he would have rotated.

Calm, controlled and never nervous. We haven't been outplayed once this season either.

I can see a real difference in this Everton side, and I'm liking what I see.

You would have thought by this stage though that playing weak teams against smaller sides give the others even more hope. Does not take much to work that out. Just dont know why he didnt do the same against Leeds????

Bloody Aston Villa in the semi of that cup with a banker to get through to the final and all !

Think we saw the reaction to that Leeds team selection tonight mate. Think Moyes is starting to learn.

Took him long enough... shouldnt take a manager 10 years to work out the best chance of beating a team is by playing your best players.

Couldn't agree more mate. I'm not exactly Moyes' biggest fan sometimes, but he seems to have finally got his act together. However, he did play a near full strength team against Layton orient in the round before we played Leeds.

and by playing the better players they didnt have to run around for 90mins at 100%, they were strolling around in the main from the hour mark. Anichebe was a notable eception to this, he was still chugging around at the death. Good on the lad but who the feck has stolen the Cheebs we know and put this keen useful feller in his place..?

Yeah, it's great to finally see. He's definitely had an attitude adjustment in recent months. Long may it continue.

It hasn't as he quite often does. When would you play the younger/fringe players just out of curiosity?

Actual he has always, in the past, put out strong teams, if you think the team he put out at Leeds wasnt good enough, then I dunno what you expect.
