Sporting beat Porto 3-0 tonight.

I suppose PORTO were fcking gutless too were they?(n)

And from what I've just seen Sporting battered Porto.

So it seems that Sporting have been possibly been underachieving or they've just "clicked"

Three shots from outside the box. All well finished.

So they're setup for shots outside and in/around the box, and seem to have found how to play that system.....

I've never been so annoyed at a game.

No closing down their players.

No shots.

Tried to play for a 0-0. Moyes???

Gutless was a very accurate description. It cost me a good £400+ to get there.

But I felt the fans that attended the Benfica 5-0 and then the Sporting 3-0 deserved so much better.

The fans were great all day in the City, took over the square, flags everywhere.

No-one played well at all. Moyes spent 25mins trying to get Bily to swap wings with Donovan.

Sporting are a very good team and are probably better than us. But we did not play OUR game at all.

If i'm honest....the Everton players looked scared and out of their depth when they had no reason to be. We have quality players. I just wished they'd of played.

Not one of them came over to thank the fans for making the journey.

The fans were not happy.

To be honest, Sporting were gutless at Goodison and Everton were gutless at Lisbon.

Everton kickstarted Sporting's season, or so it seems. Finally the team is producing some of their potential.

I was playing on both tables, so I had a more distant view of this match.

I thought, and still think, that Sporting has better players but are less of a team. I also said here that they could wake from the sleep at any time.

They did wake up against Everton and kept the momentum with Porto.

If any of you followed this Porto's match, you know that Sporting made it 3-0 in the 47th minute. They slowed down after that.

Porto also had a bad night and that justifies the difference on the result.

So is Nuno Valente our Portuguese scout? Good to see we've kept him around, I always liked Nuno, a good professional.

As for the players, Yannick Djalo is an interesting one. I remember watching him a few years ago for the under 21s and he looked good, as did alot of the Portuguese side at the time. From what I understand, he never developed the way people thought he would.

But he looks very bright in both games against us, so who knows.

The director-executive of the Everton, Robert Elston, affirmed the Record that João Moutinho and Yannick is two potential candidates to strengthen the breeding of the English club. At this moment, nothing it exists of concrete, but the English follow the two lions intently. “We are to the search of good players. The Moutinho João has very referenciado and the Yannick is, without a doubt, an excellent player”, affirmed the responsible one of the Everton.
The presentation of a proposal concrete to the Sporting for the act of contract of Moutinho and Yannick depends, in lower court, of the technician David Moyes. In accordance with Elston, the hypothesis of a negotiation is real, but he will be the trainer to say if it intends the two players. “Who knows if of this time we advance exactly? It is a decision that will have of being taken by our manager”, related, admitting that the captain if always kept in the agenda of the club.
Brave Nuno on
Determinative in this process it can come to be Brave Nuno, former-player of the two clubs. Currently, he plays function of overseer of emblem of Liverpool and has folloied installment of two lions, mainly of Moutinho, as Robert confirmed Elston, that did not hide the admiration and the enthusiasm that nourishes, at this moment, for Yannick. “He played very well against us. One is about an exciting player”, concluded.

Sometimes I love Babelfish - it should be obligatory for us to call him Brave Nuno from now on.

Gutterd, i dont see why we go to a game like sporting
im not saying there the best team in the world
but there obviously not a bad one, why play defensivly??
soon as we go down 1-0 we start performing why not just go
in to the game looking to win rather than hang on and lose
pisses me of being + evertonian.. but we all love them deep down :)
come on moysey lad sort it out!
