Making space more cost effective is how more corporations will be tempted to begin operations out there.

Asteroid mining Soon?

I read somewhere that something like asteroid mining will be aggressively campaigned against by the current companies controlling their respective markets. The reason gold/platinum/titanium is so expensive, is their rarity. If we go and start mining an asteroid (or source) full of gold, then that saturates the market and prices go down. Which the current hawks who control the gold market will want to prevent.
 
We're not alone and being lied to by NASA (Never a straight answer). I have had contact with ET beings but no one believes me.

So this new unit, the Scotland, is meaningless to me. Whats the conversion factor? How many Wales make a Scotland? Does the surface area take terrain roughness into account?
