If the ludicrous VAR intervention at Brighton hadn't occurred we would now be on a run of 4 wins and a draw in our last 5 games. And as I've pointed out elsewhere, looking at results from the 10 league games that were also played last season we have won a staggering 9 points more! Strange but true.

Yep they probably have been the worst opposition so far this season, but there have been many contenders for that label -- not least Sheffield Utd who I thought were absolutely awful and devoid of ideas but still beat us through their only two attacks!

Same team that defends like tyrants, attacks in waves and are fifth in the table after being unlucky to only come away with a draw today at Tottenham?

Well, this season we've had a mix of encouraging displays let down by poor defending or stinking the gaff out. Well, away from home anyway. So was it good display and well earned points? Or ride our luck? Or just meh?

We were the better side, we had more shots and more possession, they scored, we folded, but then got a decent goal after Silva finally put the right players in the right positions after 70 mins.....

aren’t most leagues like that though, 4/5 dominate sides with the rest making up the numbers

It is nowadays aided and abetted by the media and pundits pushing the best players out of the lowly clubs to the bigger clubs. I would say in the 60's,70's and 80's all or most clubs had top players and there was about 8 teams that had a realistic chance.
