We should save this plan for when we are in trouble. Keep it in cotton wool.

Eight nil please.
Is it snowing!!?? (Nov 20 1971)

Seriously though I've nominated Gana first goal and put a pound on for The Foodbanks. Come on Gana, £40 riding on you..

PS why not stake an extra pound and do your bit (whilst making the bookies pay for it)

This is a precarious conclusion; if our players get wind of any expectations, they usually experience anxiety...which negatively affects performance. I steer clear of putting any pressure on Everton teams...they have a habit of bottling occasions when it is.
Just heard a collective sigh of relief from the Everton bus as the news sink in that deiophinist is taking the pressure off for this week.

They'll be down William hills now laying that one off.
Seriously though, nice gesture.

Not too optimistic today

Southampton were absolutely useless under the now sacked manager Mark Hughes before Ralph Hassenhuttl took over, since then they've beaten Arsenal 3-2 and surprisingly?? lost to Man City 1-3, the only disappointing league loss at home for them was a 1-2 defeat by West Ham, so one out of three but City being one of the losses.

Their overall league record since Hassenhuttl took over is won three, home to Arsenal and away at Huddersfield and Leicester, drawn at Chelsea and lost to Manchester City and West Ham.

A massive improvement.

Then we haven't always had our best days at this ground recently either

2-0 - both own goals
3-0 - where Martinez didn't even make a sub
1-0 - Austin after about 40 seconds and it was game over
4-1 - Worst of the lot last season under Unsworth, comedy goals thrown in as well

That last display came against a side who could hardly buy a win against anyone anywhere at the time and had hardly scored at all in their recent games, then Unsworth brought Shambles FC there and we got battered.

That led to panic and Allardyce so not a good day at all!!!

Wasn’t it Southampton young striker making his debut (ginger lad?) that scored vs us and has never been heard of since?
