I want to be positive, I really do, but just cannot see us getting anything. In current mood/form (what ever!) i'd take a point.

It's been way too long since we won at Southampton, Steve Watson with a delightful finish last time we took 3 points away from Southampton.

Come on Everton, just for once, turn up and do the business!

I have no optimism for this game. We'll start quite well before leaking a soft goal, the possession stats will look decent but count for nothing. Roberto will overuse the words 'phenomenal' and 'moment' pre and post match. I think that just about covers it.

Let's be honest, Saints will finish higher than us this season just like teams such as West Ham, Stoke and Villa unless we make some signings. If you stall in the PL you fall behind very quickly.

Great preview @chicoazul in fact it was world class, it's the only bloody world class thing we've seen since the days of Kanchelskis.

Right, I would like to jib a few players off for this game as I reckon we are getting tonked no matter what so I would go for -

In goal - not arsed
RB - Coleman
LB - Oviedo
CB - Stones
CB - Jags
LW - Mirallas
RW - Deulofeu
CM - Cleverley
CM - Barkley
CF - Lukaku
CF - Kone

Nice and simple 442 give Kone another chance whilst his confidence might be at 8% or higher, bin off Barry and McCarthy for a game so they are aware that there's actual competition in the squad and see how Barkley fares coming from deep sitting next to someone like Cleverley. Ovideo on the left providing natural support to Kev whilst hopefully Deulofeu being fit and ready to tear them a new one.

Probably get bummed everywhere but if we are gonna get stuffed, get stuffed with a bit of swagger I say instead of the boring sideways dross that's been served up for a whole season ( +1 game ).

If all else fails McGeady will come on and prove all you doubters wrong with his wing wizardry and terrific trickery, he's the #Dynamo of football that lad.

COYB!!!

McGeady is still an Everton player?!
