Somethings Missing

Some have the feeling that it should be more, and they should do more and get more out of going. Entertainment outside, fancy food inside. It’s still just going the match. Eventually people will turn up, maybe have a pint outside the walls, watch the game, go home. Just the same as they did at Goodison, but now with better views and louder announcements. The fact there isn’t more to it feels a let down at the moment after years of build up.

I do worry that some of the older or less mobile will sack it off due to the relative difficulty getting there and lack of lifts and/or Sherpas to guide them up the stairs. A lot of those people probably don’t care about the fancy food and ill-timed DJ sets, so it’s the same event, just much harder to get to, and so far exactly same sort of frustrating performances we’ve had for a decade.

My neighbour ( senior season ticket holder) said hes probably gonna pack it in after this season. Said its just not the same for him plus finds it trickier to get away from the stadium compared to Goodison

Gone the game for many, many years. Talking to fellow Blues, going HD, its like something is missing…give it time, is the big shout. But its still not good going the game….
I was going to say we`re missing a good team to watch but then we have been shocking for large periods over the last 30 odd years, and we have continued that trend since moving.

It's the fume that's missing. We haven't yet found a way to replicate the collective negativity that swirled around Goodison, often irrespective of results/performances.

Takes a while to settle into the atmosphere and what is acceptable in the immediate vicinity of where your seat is. Where once there was the familiarity of the same faces and often shouts, we've had a massive reset. I can see people looking to move season tickets a few times yet until some sort of established order finds it's way.
The ground isn't finished, we're still settling in, sorting serving food and drink would add a little something instead of detracting. Also the immediate area is under development, there'll be routines to get into, new bars to sample, it's still transition.

I've found it really tough to be honest but that is really down to my own personal circumstances unfortunately,I think we had to move, the new place is incredible but losing my old fella only two days after the last Southampton Goodison game having watched it on the telly with him as he was too ill to attend and all those memories of the place going back 54 years has been difficult to transition, part of me in Everton has ceased with the departures of Dad and Goodison💙apologies for the moroseness of this post, and everyone please enjoy our super new gaff💙
