If he took his hands out of little boys yfronts long enough to read the true fact. he might not cone up with such a ******** statement. W.anker.....

What a complete tool. The guy has absolutely no idea what is going on. And wtf is he doing commenting about Everton? The guy is only just beaten for bias by scarface Hansen (and by a very slender margin).

Well in Damo lad, that's what we want too see from our main finance man
;-))>

Just tell me this. How can the Arteta money of been spent on wages when wage:turnover = <70% ????

Wages therefore are ca. 56 million whilst turnover is 80 million (2010 figures).

Its these types of mis-statement of the arguments being put forward by Lawerenson I object to. Claiming the Arteta money was spent on wages is just NONSENSE.

I personally think the bloated "Other expenses" in 2010 accounts was a bloated deferred tax settlement with HMRC.(following a similar claim made on Portsmouth).

That coupled to an increased cost of financing and "other claims".

Fans are in their rights of demanding an answer to precisely what "other expenses" are. I for one want to have itemised by the club. Transparency is good for the business/club.

EFC board PR spin aka Mark Lawrenson - rent a comment said:
They were asking where the money has gone from the Mikel Arteta deal. Well, as far as I’m aware, Kenwright himself hasn’t pocketed it.
...
Instead it’s gone to help keep the club in the Premier League, on wages and on other expenditure.

That’s just the way it is. Not just for Everton FC, but for many other clubs.

That claim makes that article spin utter ridiculous. Lawrenson would do well to remember its a legal requirement for EFC to publish the accounts and that misrepresentation or omission within the accounts is an offence under the Fraud Act 2006.

If its not two melts shouting through railings its the boards pathetic PR through the local press making us look like melts!

I also object to Lawrenson lumping Moyes in with Kenwright. They are two separate people with different responsibilities to the club. Moyes is responsible for the team. The board are trying to use Moyes as a shield from criticism on finances of the club which is a disgrace!

I like how he doesnt mention the fact that Blue Bill last year building up to january said we did have money to spend this window, albeit a small sum compared to what others are spending yet were led to believe now that there's fcuk all of any significence to spend, best we can hope for is loans.

It's all well and good needing money to run the club and pay wages and pay off creditors, banks, loans, overdrafts, etc, etc but why not make that blatantly obvious from the off, most of us, if not all of us, knew all the money that we fetched in in the summer had gone to the banks or wherever so why did that dipshiote Kenshiote promise that there was money to spend this january?!.

This is what arks us off the most about our so called "great" chairman, he hasnt got an honest fcuking bone in his body and would rather feed us fairytales than the truth and pretty much everyone as had enough of it now!.

Like some have said, if the men high above at our club cant sort out better sponsor ship deals or revenue streams into the club and things like that that will keep us afloat and able to run the club and pay wages without asset stripping the squad to keep us going then something is seriously wrong!.
