Each country has now played their first game in the "Earth Goblet" some have failed to impress like Italy, England, France and especially Spain but some have started well, Germany looked fantastic against the Aussies and Argentina looked comfortable against Nigeria.

So who has impressed you?

For me obviously Germany were very strong and I think they could go far. Also Ghana impressed me massively, I think they could do well.

I'd like to say South Korea impressed me, but Greece stunk out the entire tournament with their performance.

I missed the Germany game and half the Chile match. So there are pretty thin pickings from what I've seen.

Honestly, it's been truly terrible.

Yes, Germany, Brazil and Argentina, but Holland too. Not that they battered Denmark, but they did dominate the game possession-wise and began late on to show what they can do in and around the box. The lad they brought on down the left is going to cause some problems this WC. For me, the Dutch will take some stopping.

North Korea's #9 impressed me as far as individual players go. As far as team performances, I haven't really been too impressed. The negative tactics employed don't really make anyone stand out - Switzerland looked good as a far as disciplined and well coached sides go, but weren't too impressive to watch. The real obvious ones are Argentina and Germany, who put in the two best comprehensive performances of the tournament so far.

Chile and Germany.

It's difficult to say at the moment, the games' usually contain one fairly attacking team and the other trying to stop them and suffocate the play. And it isn't easy to break down teams who put so many players behind the ball at any level. The level of discipline has been good, if that's your thing.

We'll get a better idea of who's good and who's not when we get past the group stages. I think the likes of Brazil and Spain will still be very strong, hopefully Argentina aswell, who I've backed to win it.

All the Germans, Iniesta stood out for Spain today before going off, Robinho looked decent the other night and the North Koreon forward.
