So now we just have to...

Every season I put a few pound a week into my wembley fund and when we get knocked out the cups what ever is in it I give to the wife but this year I am GOING to need it myself(y)

fate paid us off large with the bullshot freekick we scored from.

why am i the only person mentioning this?

did no one else witness the sheer bullshitness of this decision?

if chelsea had scored from this situation, tell me, would you be happy?

honestly i forget which one we scored off of, was that the challenge cole was booked for? if so free-kick all day. if not, you may be right because i don't remember at all.

edit: okay i remember now it was the handball, iffy decision but i wouldn't say straight bull.

Don't forget Arteta would be available and may be Osman might recover, so we might have Howard, Neville, Jags, Lescott, Baines, Carsley, Osman, Cahill, Gravesen, Arteta, AJ.

Or could be Hibbert on RB, and Neville in the CM instead of Gravesen, let's say the Fernandes deal is real and it's done by then, we could have Fernandes in the CM instead of Gravesen:-

---------------- Howard -----------------

Neville --- Jags --- Lescott --- Baines ---

---------------- Carsley -----------------

Osman --- Fernandes --- Cahill --- Arteta ---

------------------- AJ ---------------------

To me, a much stronger line up than today, and not to mention Chelsea could be further weaken in the 2nd legs!

I definately think we have a chance in the second leg but it's not going to be easy. Arteta will be back and providing no other players get any injuries in he next few weeks we'll be a strong team and at home.

We're still in it, they looked like they were going to swamp us after they scored in the first half so to just need a one nil win is sound.

If we have the players to play 4-5-1 then we stand a chance. If not, we'll get snotted.

Not sure we can stop them scoring at least once. The trick will be for us to a least score one more. Penalties scare me to death.

And herein is the reason we won't go through.

I don't see us stopping them and I don't see us putting in more than one.

You hit the nail on the head Mike. Just probably not the nail you wanted to hit. ;)

True Bill. I hate being to much of a realist these days. But I watched the game last night and it put me in a different frame of mind at the moment. My most urgent need is to beat City. I can live with a mis-step in the Carling Cup and the downright disgrace of the Oldham debacle.

Is he eligible?

If he is, then I take back what I said.

With Manny in the lineup, we'll tonk Chelsea 4-0.
