wats wrong with that just brushed mine out of the bedroom window wife wasnt to happy told me to hurry up as its ****ing freezing.

I live in Bolton, it's still snowing heavily (11.25pm), it's dumped about 4 - 5 inches this evening. Some pubs in town closed around 8pm on Friday night which would only happen in freak weather. If tomorrow was a week day it's a safe bet nearly all the schools would be closed and the buses/trains will be f..ked in the morning at least.Still, im not 100% it'll be off the pitch will probably be ok but its the surrounding areas that will be the problem.Everybody in Bolton with a car is going to be digging 4 or 5 inches off the drive in the morning, the side roads will be buggered, pavements almost half of foot of snow and im expecting those factors to call it off

met office for bolton:

Headline:
Snow clearing overnight. Mainly dry and bright Saturday.

This Evening and Tonight:
Sleet and snow will move away to the east overnight, leaving clearing skies and allowing ice to form quite widely. Strong winds, especially in the north, easing a little through the night. Minimum Temperature 0 °C.

Saturday:
A cold, perhaps icy start. It should be a largely dry day, with some sunny spells, although cloud will thicken through the afternoon. Chilly, particularly in the brisk westerly breeze. Maximum Temperature 4 °C.

Bolton wont have any fans at the match so just pave a path for the hordes of blues. We shall no be moved.

If it gets called off it'll be the Police and Stewards decision to play the 'Not safe for fans' card. I went to Citeh away the other year, -13 Degrees, this weather has nothing on that.

Been snowing all day here easily 6 inches so far on top of what we already had, and life continuing as normal, but it is Canada. I shouldnt laugh if people are not used to snow it can be nasty, but having 4-5 months of the **** here, I do find it amusing. Not if the game is postponed tho i will add

Still snowing heavily in BL1

GMP tweet "Do NOT travel unless it's an absolute must. Specially trained, advanced, GMP drivers are finding it extremely hard. Stay in & stay safe"

A football match in 15 hours?

travelling from kent up for this

knowing my luck i'll get to manchester and the game gets ****ing called off, or even worse, just as i get on the train to manchester

There is a huge grit yard across from the reebok so hopefully theyve comandered that.

The Police may look at it as a safety thing BUT will they want us turning up for an evening game when they already know loads have home end tickets ?

Woman in the ticket office said that since 2001 which must when they introduced the membership, the Police have only ever put these restrictions on once before, for a game against Leeds.

What time's your train ?
The snow seems to be slackening and the motorway's still just about open at Horwich so, fingers crossed, a bit of a thaw and it'll be OK
