SKY SPORTS SCHEDULE

Absolute bollocks, all home matches.

8th≒ on 5 times but, let's be honest we're not being showcased, we've been chisen for 5 matches against the TV favourites - Chelsea, Spurs, RS, City (a) and also Newcastle. These five are on 10, 8, 9, 9 and 7 times respectively. Along with Arsenal and United the most represented on the live schedule. Surely our away record proves a close match is likely which makes for better viewing. But you know they will always pick their favourites (who appear 60 times to the 50 for the remaining 13 sides).

TBF, the Newcastle game being moved to the Monday couldn't have worked out better for me. 28th is my Birthday and i'll be at Haye v Fury that evening.

I reckon we'll end up having a larger proportion of games in the second half of the season.

Not that I'm bothered like, it's only the aways I cant get to, and the Sportsmans has every away game on anyway.

The "Big 5" plus Sh1te and Toon feature in 46 of the 55 games... Then again how many want to watch Stoke v Norwich, Palace v Fulham, Saints v Fulham and West Ham or Norwich v Villa and West Ham? Not me!

I wouldn't want to watch them every week but I definitely think more of a balance is needed. Quite often those sort of games are better than the games between the big teams .

...I suspect the schedule is linked to viewing figures. The teams who appear most are those that attract the highest number of viewers.

That's what it's all about - market forces. It's seems to me that a greater proportion of Everton's supporter base goes to the match than most of the other 'big' clubs, hence our TV audience is lower.

That's purely anecdotal. No evidence to back that up, but it seems right to me.

...that is probably part of the answer, but to be fair the viewing figures are probably global.
