Sky Sports on iphone

A simple "I dont know" would have sufficed.

So, does anyone actually know?

Well you can read mate, you are intelligent - I know that.

It seems to me that Sky are trying to entice you into buying something that is not exactly what it says.

I would expect to get Live football if that's what they say, but then on their official site they don't say Live football.

So yes it sounds like a con from Sky.

Google and read a few reports, Telegraph/BBC/Sky even Apple say it will allow live streaming of matches.

If it doesn't, I dont understand the hype. As I say, 3 had a feature to stream highlights/MOTD over 5 years ago.

Yeah I know. I think it's just Sky trying to piggy back on the iPhone wave.

Personally even if it was available I wouldn't spend £6 a month for it, as I have Sky at home and I wouldn't get the use out of it.

There are many other apps that you can get for the iPhone that make it worthwhile, this I don't think qualifies.

You didn't have the iPhone in your basket based on this feature?

I can, and what I'm reading says its live streaming.

I would expect apple to do more to protect their product.

From what I've read, I'm still confident that surely its actual live football streaming. Surely...

But I would, because more often than not I'm not home to watch live games.

Maybe so, but for me, this app would have made it worthwhile. The others don't.

I did...

My advice is the same for Apple computers, get it if there is enough applications or basically a reason to have it. If all you want is a phone and text then don't.

Live football would have been my reason.

So you would pay what £200 notes + subscription, + contract just to watch Live football on a small screen?

Fair enough, is there any other phone that does it? You could probably get it cheaper elsewhere.

But I would also speak to Sky direct and ask them.

Also what have Apple done wrong? Unless it says in the official feature list that it's live streaming then I would not take anything else as read.

It would certainly have a big influence. Clearly that wouldn't be its only use, but it would be a factor in me purchasing it. That, and it'll be vital if I accept a potential new job. Though then, it wouldn't be me buying it.

No.

Useless you Ghost, I thought you knew your apple stuff.

Not yet, but if you hang on - when they get Flash implemented on the next version services like Sky will definitely be pushing it. You can already get Sky Mobile on your iPhone, but like I say it's subscription.

There is so much going for the iPhone and has more apps than any other phone, but it is expensive, so you need to justify that.

The HTC has flash capability at half the price.

I know where my money would go.
