Anyone got it?

Is it the real deal, as in, you watch live premiership matches on sky? None of this highlights crap.

I take it you got an iPhone then mate?

The Sky Sports app is like the red bar you get on telly, plus news, latest scores, teams, loads of stats etc...

There is a Mobile Sky app that you can get but you have to pay a subscription to sky.

I have the app though, it's good for giving me scores and team news.

No. Not yet.

Thats what I'm on about - is it actually live matches?

Not yet, but if you hang on - when they get Flash implemented on the next version services like Sky will definitely be pushing it. You can already get Sky Mobile on your iPhone, but like I say it's subscription.

My advice is the same for Apple computers, get it if there is enough applications or basically a reason to have it. If all you want is a phone and text then don't.

There is so much going for the iPhone and has more apps than any other phone, but it is expensive, so you need to justify that.

So its a con then? And massively misleading - its even worse than what 3 had years ago.

How is it a con? Where are you getting your information from?

BBC NEWS | Business | Live UK football for iPhone users

Pay-TV provider BSkyB is to show live Premier League matches on Apple's iPhone.
Users can watch live sports on Sky Sports and ESPN as well as Sky News over a wi-fi connection for £6 a month.
Besides the Premier League, users can also watch Scottish football, cricket and golf via Sky's new application.
BSkyB, which is 39%-owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, has been launching applications for news and sports to try to expand its reach on mobile devices.
To watch sports on a normal television, Sky charges from £26.50 a month for Sky Sports 1 or 2, or £35 for its total sports package - excluding ESPN.
Sky Mobile TV, the latest application, is free to download.
"Our new Sky Mobile TV app combines the demand for great live TV on the move with the high quality viewing experience offered by iPhone and iPod touch," said David Gibbs, Sky's mobile general manager.
Sky says there have been 2 million downloads of Sky applications on the iPhone to date, including Sky Sports and Sky Sports Football Score Centre.
Other users have been able to watch Sky Mobile TV on other mobile phones over the 3G network from several mobile phone companies.
In September, both Orange and Vodafone announced that they would be offering the iPhone, expanding its reach as O2's exclusive contract expires.

The same is said by apple and o2. If its "live" - I expect it to be live.

Yeah lets all do the predictable and slam Apple. FFS.

Listen, the app I have and what I said in my first reply was the Sky Sports application, there is Mobile TV app which Sky charge you £6 to watch, which I also said in my first reply, so where is the con?

If I had the iphone now, and paid £6 a month. Could I be streaming/watching the Liverpool vs Manchester City match live now?

Well if they say you can then yeah. I downloaded the app but never got the subscription because I have Sky and I can watch it on my tv.

This is not Apple or the iPhone, this is Sky, and if they are saying you can watch it, but then you can't - then that's Sky, not Apple.

A simple "I dont know" would have sufficed.

So, does anyone actually know?
